Annual Coalition Convening & Tribal Site Visit

Please join us this summer as we:

• Connect with peers working to increase Native homeownership in their communities
• Learn about the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe’s progress with housing, development, and homeownership efforts.
• Hear stories of homeownership journeys from tribal members
• Share updates about the exciting work happening within the Coalition and hear the impacts being made

Driving Directions

For both days of our Annual Coalition & Tribal Site Visit, we will be meeting at the ClubHouse Hotel & Suites at 808 West Ave Ste 200 in Pierre, South Dakota. Driving to the destination is straightforward but here are directions for your convenience.

From Pierre Regional Airport

If you are traveling from Pierre Regional Airport, you have about a 11-minute drive to the ClubHouse Hotel & Suites. Here’s what you’ll do:

• Exit the airport and turn right onto Airport Rd.
• Turn left onto N. Garfield Ave (U.S. 83 Truck).
• Turn right onto E. Sioux Ave (U.S 83 Truck) and continue straight.
• The hotel will be on your left at 808 W Sioux Ave.

Registration

Registration for this year’s Annual Coalition Convening & Tribal Site Visit is $200 per person. Current 2025-2026 members will receive a 50% discount.

Registration deadline is May 13th, 2025.

Travel Assistance

The South Dakota Native Homeownership Coalition has a limited number of travel stipends available to help offset a portion of travel costs incurred by member organizations to these events. Eligibility for stipends is limited to members of the South Dakota Native Homeownership Coalition. Members must be current on membership dues. Members required to provide homeownership data must be up to date on reporting in order to be eligible for travel stipends. Questions regarding data reporting can be directed to Kim Long Soldier at klongsoldier@sdnhoc.org or 605-455-2500. Those interested in becoming a member can go to sdnativehomeownershipcoalition.org/joinus.

The Coalition can provide travel scholarships based on the following:

• One stipend of $250 per member organization
• Stipends will be disbursed following the event

If you would like to apply for travel assistance, please indicate this on your registration form and a staff member will follow up with you. 

Lodging

Because these events will take place during a busy tourist season, we encourage you to make your hotel reservations as soon as possible. Rooms are limited. We have blocked rooms at several hotels in the area. All reservations and special rates are provided on a first-come, first-served basis.
