There are numerous challenges to overcome, when considering home values on tribal land… low transaction volume, limited comparable sales, large geography and limited appraiser availability all pose significant barriers to homeownership. The South Dakota Native Homeownership Coalition aims to help overcome these obstacles with the development of NativeNest™, a centralized system for recording residential sales and real estate transfers on tribal lands.

Currently in beta testing, NativeNest will be a member benefit for SDNHOC members, and will also be available via subscription access to lenders, CDFIs, tribal authorities, and other relevant industry professionals committed to a shared vision of increasing Native homeownership.
